I do music tuition in guitar and piano for all ages. Whether you're a beginner just learning your first tunes or if you've had previous training or grades, I'm here to help you on your musical journey!

 

I've completed a Bachelors degree in Music (majored in guitar) and have close to 10 years experience teaching both guitar and piano.

 

I conduct lessons from my studio in Blakehurst. It's a great space with privacy to put the student at ease. I have electric guitars and amplifiers, acoustics, bass guitars, electronic drumkits and keyboards. I do recommend the student bring their own instrument though (except for piano students).

 

I generally like to teach through recommended syllabus material from AMEB and Berklee music but this is not a rule. Some students simply wish to learn how to strum along to some of their favourite tunes. It really depends on the student; there is no right or wrong way!

Pricing:

 

Your first lesson with me will be an introductory lesson where I assess your current level, provide you with reference material and a music book to keep. These lessons are 45 minutes long and are $50.

 

If you decide to proceed with the program you can choose to have weekly hour-long or half-hour lessons. I generally recommend hour-long lessons as I believe more material can be covered which only helps the students progress.

 

The lessons are priced in 4-week blocks.

 

1 hour lesson plan = $175

 

1/2 hour lesson plan = $110

 

Semester 4 is a 10-week term in 2016. If you would like to discuss a full-term enrollment please call to discuss. If you have more than 1 child you would like to learn, contact me and we will organise a package for you.
